Coffee Table hand carved clam shell and pearl design. A stunning example of hand carving by a sculptor from Normandy in France. He has employed the skills and techniques found in ecclesiastical work. The base is hand carved from wood and finished in subtle gold gilt and red toned paint, reminiscent of antique French religious iconography, with a pretty pearl off set in the middle that zings and comes alive when the light hits it. The glass top is an impressive weight with a lovely broad bevelled edge.
